Batter Late Than Never Micro Bakery

The Cosmic brownie cookies are chilling in the fridge, and let me tell you, they smell so good they’re practically plotting a takeover! Sadly, my candy-coated chips decided to take the scenic route and won’t arrive until Friday. I’m still crossing my fingers they pull a fast one and show up early! 😍 Either way, I’m ready for my kitchen to become a cookie-testing battleground when my church ladies swarm it like bees to honey! 😂

Today has been a big day. We officially received our business license for Washington so that we can start the cottage food permit application. This part of the process can take up to 6 months in some cases and 3 weeks in others. That is even without the government being shut down. As we maneuver our way through all the paperwork, know that we are also fine tuning recipes and starting small for now. Cookies, breads and brownies will keep us occupied for now. We do want to add some other things and would love to do many things that the cottage food law currently does not allow us to do at this time. It is rolling along and has changed for the better in many ways already. All we can do is wait for the changes and shift along with them. I hope to start sharing our creations with you all soon.
